Rules for RTFA Chats and Events
1. All members are to treat others with compassion, respect, and good faith. This includes refraining from shaming, harassing, insulting, one-upsmanship, or invalidating other's statements.
2. All members are to treat themselves with compassion. Negative self-talk is not allowed. (Discussion of negative self-talk is allowed and encouraged.)
3. Posts may not engage in or share memes of discrimination, bigotry, stereotyping, or hyperbole towards any group of people. (This includes groups based on politics, occupation, economic status, identity, sexuality, etc.)
4. Political discussion is allowed if it follows all other rules, but RTFA is not a political group, takes no political stance, and does not discriminate based on political affiliation. (Human struggles affect us all.)
5. No messages that could be construed as plans, threats, or encouragement to commit violence. No pictures or graphic descriptions of violence or gore of humans and animals. No threats, suggestions, implications, or wishes of violence against any person or animal. (Mentions of hunting, fishing, etc. are allowed.)
6. Discussing interpersonal conflict is allowed, but do not use the names or identifying information of other people when doing so. (This includes the sharing of callout posts.)
7. Talk about Past Abuse, Suicidal Ideation or Self Harm is permitted under spoilers and tagged as follows: (PA)Past Abuse (SI)Suicide and (SH)Self Harm.
8. Information about other members should not be shared outside this group. However, this is an open group and anything you choose to share is at your own risk.
9. Images should include a comment when posting (and attribution, if possible.) Memes are allowed but should be used as a springboard for conversation, not a substitute for one.
10. Self-promotional/advertising posts are allowed on Fridays. Mutual Aid posts are allowed on Saturdays.
11. In-person events are substance free and all-ages. (Minors must be accompanied by an adult.) Please step outside to vape or smoke if needed, and refrain from bringing in alcohol, etc.
